A German porcelain Vienna-style 'jewelled' cylindrical vase painted with a half length portrait of 'Ruth' within an oval panels on a richly gilt ground enriched in pale blue enamels below a pale ivory band painted with flowerheads and scrolls, the shoulders gilt with an arcaded band on a claret ground, signed Richter, titled to base, printed and incised marks, circa 1900 -- 6 7/8in. high
