An embossed and pierced paperlace valentine card, stamp marked Dobbs Kidd & Co, with applied scrap and little note Friendship with Fidelity - 5 x 8in.; Two large embossed and pierced paperlace valentines, with silk centre with embossed wreath of roses around, one with applied fabric flowers and scraps, lifting to reveal words Smile, inside a hand written message - 8 x 10in., dated February 12th 1848; the other with finely cut flowers, leaves and hand-coloured details - 8 x 10in.; three small valentines, possibly by Dobbs, all with hand written messages and hand-coloured applied flowers - 3½ x 4½in.
