HAND-COLOURED LITHOGRAPHED VALENTINE
A hand coloured lithographed valentine card with a picture of a gentleman and a lady in a garden, verse reads 'If e'r a heart did beat with Love, It was that Heart of Mine; O that these hours would quickly pass, Till I'll be callled thine' - 7 x 9in. with hand written message dated 1831; and another similar with a gentleman and lady standing together with cupid in the bushes shooting an arrow towards them, verse reads 'I've form'd with many a fragrant flower. A sweet entwining shady bower. I've formed a shade wherein so serrt, The Mystic Fairy Lovers meet...' - 8 x 10in., circa 1840 (2)
