The slender bell-bowl engraved with a bust portrait of Prince Charles Edward within a laurel leaf cartouche and flanked on one side by a six- petalled rose, a bud and a half-opened bud and on the other by a thistle above a single tear-drop and plain stem and folded conical foot, (two small chips to rim of bowl)
