The tapering blade with triple fullers for half its length to either side, inscribed to one side Captain James Menzies, Comrie and to the other Killiecrankie 1689, the lacquered iron hilt with fluted domed pommel of simple flattened bars pierced with hearts and circles with later tartan liner and plain wood grip
