A well engineered and presented model twin cylinder inclined reversing paddle engine, condenser and Scotch return tube boiler mounted as though in a ship built by J.C.Lewison. Measurements overall--14¾ x 33½in (37.5 x 85cm)
Boiler details include copper cladding, superheater and fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, donkey pump, main stop and clack valves and filler plug arranged as a lifting eye. Engine details include twin brass bound steel clad cylinders 1in bore x 1½in stroke with bar type crosshead guides, Stephenson's link reverse, crosshead driven condensate return pump and by-pass, air pump and condensate circulating pump, the connecting rods with bolted big ends with split brasses, the crankshaft running in six main bearings with tubed condensor and feathering paddle wheels. Further details include stainless steel floor with rivetted copper water tank under with filler cap and level gauge, Weir feed pump with displacement lubricator, hand feed pump and many other details.
