A 19th century Austrian ebonised fruitwood and alabaster portico three train mantel clock, the drum shaped case with gilt Roman chapter ring, signed J. PETTER, WIEN, within an engine milled bezel, the arcaded top applied with foliate cut mother-of-pearl mounts and inset with a gouache scene of a forticated port, the double column uprights flanking a gilt composition lyre, the stepped plinth housing a musical movement -- 23in. (58.4cm.) high.
