A late 19th century German ebonised fruitwood and gilt metal mounted bracket clock, the arched case with acanthine pineapple finials, caryatids and pierced sound frets to the sides, the brass dial with silvered Roman and Arabic chapter ring enclosing a matted centre within scroll spandrels, a subsiduary SLOW/FAST ring above, inscribed PAIN FOLKESTONE, the movement striking two gongs, with conforming bracket, key and pendulum -- 19½in.
