A Mintons 'Henri Deux Ware' salt modelled by Charles Toft, the bowl with three scroll supports moulded with grotesque masks above a Renaissance-style architectural stand of three arches flanked by pillars, each arch filled by a seated putto holding a shield, with red clay inlaid geometric and foliate encaustic decoration and enriched in ochre, blue and green glazes (restoration to one scroll, one foot restuck, other minor damages) inscribed Minton 1819 C. Toft to the base, circa 1878 -- 7¼in. high
