An unusual Victorian novelty mustard pot modelled as a Canopic jar on a rising circular foot decorated with a frieze of triangles, the body applied with various motifs including stylised candelabra, lyres, flower heads, scarabs in flight, and grotesque beasts, the gilt-lined hinged cover modelled as the head of an Egyptian goddess wearing a tassled cloak and a traditional wig, Messrs.
