A brass and polished steel trivet, the shaped plateau pierced with a central flowerhead motif within interlinked scrolls, the turned, knopped legs with central platform and integral circular aperture (possibly for an oil heater), English, late 18th/early 19th century -- 15in. (38cm.) high.
