A pair of Namban six-fold table screens painted in sumi and colour on paper, one depicting a European ship unloading its cargo before traders in shop fronts, the other with European figures dancing on a terrace, Japanese ladies and children watching on from the sides, both on gold grounds (both with old wear between leaves and some rubbing, outer sides scratched and with some staining) -- each leaf 14¼in.x 4¾in.
