A CLOISONNÉ ENAMEL GILT-BRONZE TRIPOD CENSER AND COVER
Qing dynasty, 19th century
Enamelled around the body with branches of flowers against a blue ground, set at the shoulder with a pair of elephant-head handles and supported on gilt tripod feet fashioned as harnessed elephant-trunks, the domed cover enamelled similarly with smaller flower branches below a pierced floral scroll and topped by a recumbent elephant supporting a vase on its back as the finial
