A MASSIVE INSCRIBED AND DATED BLUE AND WHITE BALUSTER VASE
With cyclical date corresponding to 1721 and of the period
Painted on one side with an extensive mountainous riverscape, a pavilion within a fortified wall on the rocky banks of a river down which three figures on a boat sails, amongst tall craggy mountains in the foreground and background, the other side of the jar with a long twenty-line inscription, all below a band of ruyi-heads at the short neck, short neck crack and rim restored

Included in the inscription is the cyclical date xin chou year.
