Twelve German porcelain plates
each painted with figures at various pursuits within landscapes, within quatrefoil cartouches and black and gilt line issuing iron-red, gilt and puce scrolling foliage, the border painted with panels depicting figures in landscapes reserved on a trellis-pattern ground beneath gilt line rim, blue crossed swords marks, incised numerals and Pressnummern, late 19th century (rubbing to enamels and gilding generally) -- 25cm. diam.
