Two large Meissen urn-shaped vases
modelled in the Neo-Gothic style by Leuteritz, the flared rims moulded and gilt with a band of ivy leaves flanked by fleur-de-lys, each painted with four loose sprays of flowers within a turquoise-ground cartouche linked by a diamond-shaped section, below a border moulded with gothic-style arches, fleur-de-lys and stylised scrolling foliage, the lower section moulded with a further band of ivy leaves, on a flared circular lobed foot moulded with overlapping loops terminating in fleur-de-lys, one with blue crossed swords marks and painted numerals, the other with blue crossed swords mark, Pressnummer and indistinct incised marks, mid 19th century -- 57cm. & 55cm. high (2)
