The present teapot and cover is from a déjeuner of which the tray is in the collection of Waddesdon Manor [Tamara Préaud and Marcelle Brunet, Sèvres, des origines à nos jours, Paris, 1978, no. 156]. One cup and saucer was sold as lot 209 in the same Christie's Monaco sale in which the present pot was acquired.
