A LOUIS XV FRENCH AND GERMAN PORCELAIN, GREEN TOLE AND ORMOLU MANTEL CLOCK
Mid-18th Century, the majority of the flowerheads probably Vincennes and mid-18th century, the associated backplate signed G.Pecquet/AParis, the Meissen figures mid-18th century and modelled by Johann-Joachim Kaendler
The enamelled circular dial with Arabic and Roman chapter rings and ormolu pierced strapwork hand within a drum housing and asymmetrical rocaille acanthus and C-scroll surround, the movement with an elaborate ormolu pierced interlocking strapwork bridge cock, the backplate signed G.Pecquet/AParis, suspended within an elaborate scrolling porcelain flowerhead and green tôle bocage, the asymmetrical pierced rocaille base set with associated Meissen porcelain groups of one large and two small pheasants

Lot Essay
Germain Pecquet is listed as working on the rue Froidmanteau, obtaining his Chef d'oeuvre in 1693 and was awarded Juré of his guild in 1718.
