A LOUIS XVI ORMOLU, PATINATED-BRONZE AND RED GRANITE CENTREPIECE, NOW CONVERTED TO FORM A LAMP

The central acanthus-wrapped ovoid bowl held aloft by a classically-draped maiden and youth and now with later flaming top issuing the lamp fixture, on an oval plinth with milled border and engraved stylised palmettes centred by a six-pointed star, the red granite plinth with berried-laurel moulding, on a plain oval base, probably originally the base of a candelabra, with pleated yellow and pink silk shade
