A HIGHLY IMPORTANT ART DECO JADE, CITRINE, CORAL AND ENAMEL "MYSTERY" CLOCK, BY CARTIER
Designed as a faceted citrine dial of rectangular outline, with rose-cut diamond foliate hands, within a carved coral and black enamelled frame with gold trim, decorated with carved jade foliate plaques and a diamond collet, with applied mother-of-pearl Roman numeral chapters, to the onyx base enhanced by mother-of-pearl palmettes and similarly designed jade motifs with coral detail, mounted in 18k gold, (with a winding key), circa 1927, 5½ x 4 x 1¾ ins., with French assay marks and maker's marks, in a Cartier brown leather fitted case
