A mahogany, marquetry and strung secretaire bookcase, the upper part with a swan-neck pediment and dentil and simulated fluted frieze, fitted with adjustable shelves and enclosed by a pair of glazed astragal panel doors, the lower part with a scroll-tendril-decorated edge, the oval panel fall enclosing a tooled-leather-lined writing surface and fitted interior with drawers and pigeon holes, fitted with three drawers below with urns issuing acanthus scrolls on outswept bracket feet -- 50in.
