A pair of mid-19th century French bronze and parcel gilt tazze, modelled in the form of seated cherubs, each with a foot raised on a tortoise, holding aloft clam shells, on naturalistic bases modelled with fish, nets, surf and shells -- 10¾in. (27.4cm.) high.
