A brass and cast iron basket grate of Adam design, the arched back with ribbon tied drapery, the serpentine railed front above a pierced apron with lozenges between square tapering supports and urn finials, late 19th century; and a pressed brass serpentine fender of George III style, the fluted frieze between patera and swags, late 19th century, the grate -- 32¾in. (83cm.) wide, the fender -- 65¾in. (167cm.) wide.
