A Dutch mahogany, marquetry and chequer-strung cylinder bureau, in two parts, decorated with meandering foliate and floral tendrils and foliate scrolls, the fall with a marquetry of urns and birds and rising with the tooled leather-lined pull-out slide to reveal a shaped fitted interior with drawers, pigeon holes and enclosed compartment, fitted with a frieze drawers with three drawers below flanked by half column stiles on bun feet, early 19th century -- 39in. (99cm.) wide, 21in. (53cm.) deep, 48in. (122cm.) high.
