A Continental Faience cylindrical fluted stove, made in five parts, with inverted trumpet-shaped cover and waisted central section, applied with bands of light green leaves, swags of fruit and rams' heads, the lower part with a metal door and standing on three pad feet, the rims enriched in light green, the top cylindrical section repaired, feet re-stuck, slight glaze flakes, probably North Italian, previously probably with a further section-- 83in. (110cm.) high approx.

The stove, which is designed in the Antique Style of the 1780's, is of pedestal supported vase form and embellished with flutes and acanthus foliage borders, the pedestal cornice is embelished with husk-festooned rams' masks, whilst the plinth base is fastooned with fruit garlands.
