An early Victorian three-piece fluted and compressed moulded circular tea service on shell and foliate feet, each engraved and chased with flowers and scrolling foliage and with scroll handles, the teapot with a squat rising curved spout and fluted domed hinged cover with flower finial, the gilt-lined milk jug and sugar basin with moulded everted rims, William Bateman, London 1837 and 1839 - height of teapot 6¼in., 42.25oz.
