An 18th century Roman Istrian stone cinerarium, the ovoid body with rising domed cover carved with acanthus ornament and bud finial, the sides with figures of storks flanking torchéres hung with fruiting swags and ribbons, with twin acanthine handles, the spreading socle with bands of stiff-leaf and guilloche scrolls, on a square platform, (the cover distressed) -- 18in.
