A pair of Cantonese vases painted in coloured enamels and moulded in relief with shaped panels of Buddhistic lions playing with brocade balls, peacocks among prunus and peonies and writhing dragons above carp among foaming waves, all within lion heads and key fret designs, the necks with further birds among chrysanthemums and daisies (one with rim chips and a crack) -- 17in. high.
