A large pair of Cantonese slender tapering vases painted and gilt with shaped panels of warriors in combat and dignitaries on terraces on a yellow ground of shou characters, scrolling lotus flowers and pomegranate sprays, all within bronzed bands of honeycomb, hatch pattern and key fret motifs, the interior turquoise (one riveted) -- 35in. high.
