Frans Xavery was born in The Hague. He was the son of Jean-baptist Xavery (1697-1742), the sculptor, whose great allegory in in St. Bravo, Haarlem. He worked in Rotterdam. He trained under F. de Witt. One fan painted with the sacrifice at Hymen's altar, signed and dated Francis Xavery fecit 1763 was in the Vannier collection in 1885.
