A two-page autograph letter, signed, from Buckingham Palace, June 11th 1912, to Sir George Holford, congratulating him on his engagement: "It will seem funny to see you as a married man, you have been too long a bachelor;" a two page autograph letter, signed, from Buckingham Palace, February 29th 1928, to Lady Holford, thanking her for picture catalogue of Dorchester House: "I will place it in the library at Windsor, with the first part of 'The Holford Collection' (Westonbirt) which George gave me in 1924. It is indeed sad to think that this wonderful collection is now broken up & dispersed all over the world;" with the original autograph envelope. (2)
