A pair of Chinese paintings in ink and colour on paper, one depicting Confucious riding on the back of a mythical beast and appearing before a peasant in a rocky landscape, the other similar with Confucious and another figure contemplating a hanging scroll (creased and worn, some water marks) -- each 19½in.x 18in., one with red seal, framed and glazed.
