An Ashtead pottery cylindrical jar and cover, designed for the British Empire Exhibition in 1924, the jar decorated with a band of stylised flowers and foliage, the cover with a lion and iniscription 19 B E E 24, the rim with a border of repeating triangles, in shades of blue, yellow and turquoise, printed factory marks -- 13.5cm. diam.
