A Victorian three-piece compressed pear-shaped afternoon tea service on mask and shell feet, each chased with village scenes in the manner of David Teniers and with applied C and S-scroll borders, the teapot with a mask and flute-chased leaf-capped rising curved spout, bark-textured scroll handle and domed hinged cover with finial modelled as a figure seated on a barrel, the gilt-lined milk jug and sugar basin with bark-textured scroll handles with figure thumb pieces, Robert Hennell, London 1880 - height of teapot 6¼in., 34oz.
