A Ryukyu Islands mother-of-pearl inlaid black lacquer rectangular table on four scrolling legs set on a similar base, decorated with a shrine on an island beside pine, prunus, wisteria and bamboo issuing from rockwork next to a bridge, all below a flock of birds above boats in a river landscape, the sides decorated with panels of cell pattern and scrolling flowers, the base decorated with cranes among rockwork, wisteria (areas of restoration, old damages) -- 25 in. high, 17th century.
