The above cap was awarded to Norman Deeley and represents his second and last England International appearance. In the Friendly match against Peru, played on 17th May 1959 at Lima, England lost 1-4. Norman Victor Deeley was born in Wednesbury, Staffordshire on 30th November 1933 and joined Wolverhampton Wanderers as an amateur in 1948. He turned professional in November 1950 and was a great servant for the club until his transfer to Leyton Orient in February 1962. At Wolves he won the First Division Championship in 1958 and 1959, and also helped the club to their F.A. Cup win in 1960.
