A lobed baluster jar and domed cover with flowerhead finial painted and heavily gilt with butterflies among chrysanthemums, camellia, prunus and peonies attached to canes and issuing from pierced rockwork between bands of lappets and kiku heads (slight chip to foot rim, finial restuck) -- 12½in. high, signed Satsuma yaki Yoshinobu.
