A large baluster vase painted and gilt with a cartouche of numerous figures in and around a large cart at various activities below maple, the reverse with ladies and children below cherry blossom on a riverbank, all on a dark blue ground further decorated in gilt with ho-o among various flowers (gilt rubbing, minute chip to foot rim) -- 20in. high, signed Dai Nihon Kozan zo.
