A black and gold lacquer square-shaped four-sided kodansu with silver handles modelled as butterflies, each side fitted with sliding drawers decorated in hiramakie and scattered nashiji with insects among flowering chrysanthemums issuing from rockwork (one small door missing, old wear) -- 4½in. wide.
