A Dutch 18th Century shaped square biscuit box and cover on shell, foliate and scalework feet and with a moulded rim and baluster finial, engraved with stylised scrolling foliage and strapwork and later-fitted with a circular mount holding a glass inkwell with unmarked beaded and chased mount, the cover engraved with a monogram with crown above, Gerritt Boverhof, Amsterdam 1765 - 4¾in., weight excluding inkwell 19.25oz.
