The clock movement striking on a single bell, with white enamel dial painted with floral chains and inscribed Maple & Co., A Paris, enclosed by a paste-set bezel incorporated within the grid-iron pendulum, in lyre-shaped case, the pediment cast with a portrait mask enclosed by a sunburst and surmounted by fruiting branches, the oval base applied with a continuous band of acanthus scrolls, on milled toupie feet
