A finely detailed 1:96 scale boxwood rigged model of the Royal Yacht 'Caroline' of 1749, built by K. Britten -- 13 x 16½in (33 x 42 cm)
With bound masts, yards with foot ropes, standing and running rigging, carved crowned female figurehead with angels, hair rails, heads, bitts, anchors, belaying rails and pins, anchor buoys, bell and canopy, deck rails, companionways, gratings, capstan, glazed cabin and stern ans quarter windows and ship's boat with bottom boards, thwarts and oars and many other details. Finished in white, matt varnish, blue, red and much carved and gilded decoration. Mounted on two turned-brass columns, display base and glazed case
