A finely planked and well engineered model of the clinker-built open steam launch 'Shamrock' built by M.W. Lucas -- 17 x 54¾in (43.2 x 139 cm)
The brass pinned, planked and framed hull fitted with forward Samson post, aft cockpit with ship's wheel, cleats, chequer-plate and duckboard bottom boards and dummy coal lockers. Power plan details include horizontal brass-bound wood lagged copper cross tube boiler with fittings including water and pressure gauges, safety, whistle and main stop and clack valves and lagged steamline to Stuart Double-Ten vertical reversing marine engine with displacementlubricator, drain cocks and pipe-work and disc flywheel and single shaft to three blade brass propellor and hand-feed pump (burner missing). Finished in matt varnish and polished brightwork. Drawing
