An exhibition standard planked and framed radio-controlled electric-powered model of the T.S.M.Y. 'Bluebird of Chelsea', originally built for Sir Malcolm campbell by thorneycroft, 1931, and modelled by K.A. Garner from M.A.P. plans -- 22½ x 43in (57.2 x 109.2 cm)
With lowering mast and rigging, anchors and winch, wood capped deck rails, companionway, deck lights, fenders, lockers, glazed wheelhouse with inside and outside steering positions with chart table, engine-controls, ship's wheels, search lights, whip aerials, aft seating and table and clinker built dinghy with bottom boards and thwarts in aft-davits and other details. The planked hull fitted with two 6-volt Monoperm motors with reduction gearboxes to two shafts with 'A'-brackets and three-blade propellors and rudder, rechargeable batteries and finished in red to the waterline, white and natural wood. Six channel Futaba transmitter, stand, fitted carrying box and a folio of construction photographs, drawings and historical data. Display stand
