A finely carved early 19th Century box and fruit-wood French prisoner-of-war-rigged model of a 62-gun Man-of-War -- 7 x 8¾in (17.8 x 22.2 cm)
With bound masts, yards with stun's 'l booms, standing and running rigging, carved male figurehead, hair rails, anchors, deck rails, 'tween decks, upper deck guns, two ship's boats with thwarts and rope coils. The planked and pinned hull with stern and quarter gallery decoration and finished in varnish. Mounted on two wood stands on parquetry decorated straw work base. Domed glazed case (later)
