Saint for the author [and others], 1770, 4°, engraved plate and coat-of-arms, woodcut illustrations and diagrams by Thomas Bewick (title and dedication leaf detached and bearing library markings, block split at 3X1, this leaf torn at inner margin, 6M2 slightly soiled and with small hole at lower margin), contemporary calf (worn) [Honeyman 1724; Sotheran I, 2052] Provenance: Jernegan Collection (stamp); together with an incomplete copy of Jean Leurechon's Mathematicall Recreations (London, 1633) and Priestley's Familiar Introduction to the Theory and Practise of Perspective (London, 1780), lacking plate 10, though with plate 14 included twice.
