An antique South Caucasian kelim of a Akstafa design, the brick-red field with variety of serrated and hooked floral motifs, stylised human and animal figures around four large shaded blue gabled medallions containing similar motifs in yellow, brick-red, blue and green with sky-blue floral sprays roundel flanked by stylised hooked palmettes, divided by sky-blue bold hooked panels, in blue border of octagons with stellar flowerheads between hooked and zig-zag stripes, area of slight wear --17ft.2in. x 4ft.10in.(523cm. x 147cm.)
