A walnut marquetry and line-inlaid bureau cabinet, decorated with foliate scrolls and interlaced floral and foliate tendrils heightened in green, with birds, butterflies and mythological animals, the upper part with an undulating moulded arched cornice centred by a ribbon bow supporting an oval medallion with a figure bust, fitted with serpentine shelves enclosed by a pair of glazed panelled doors, between half column stiles, the bombe lower part with an urn-decorated fall enclosing a well-fitted graduated interior and well with slide, containing three long drawers below between projecting angles, with an undulating apron decorated with husk swags, on claw and ball feet, Dutch, mid 19th century -- 54in.
