An Edwardian satinwood and marquetry secretaire bookcase, inlaid with lines and crossbanded in sycamore, the upper part with a broken scroll-arched pediment, with foliate sprays and dentil frieze with paterae-decorated simulated fluted decoration, fitted with shelves enclosed by a pair of glazed astragal panelled doors, the lower part, possibly associated, decorated with gryphons, acanthus scrolls and urns, the tooled leather-lined fall enclosing a fitted interior, enclosed by a pair of concave panelled doors below on square tapering legs with spade feet -- 32in (81cm.) wide, 16½in. (42cm.) deep, 79in. (201cm.) high.
