A Samuel Alcock pale-blue-ground shaped tapering vase applied with leaf-moulded pierced handles, painted in colours with birds among blossoming branches, the reverse with a loose spray of flowers within gilt panels above leaves and urns, with a pinched shaped rim and a scrolling foot, printed mark, circa 1840 -- 10 5/8in. high
